ROTORUA ASSOCIATION GRANT i : HINEMOA TEAM i AFFILIATION j NEXT SATURDAY'S GAMES j At the usual weekly meeting of the j Rotorua Ladies' Hockey Association, jj held on Monday evening, the presi- j dent (Miss K. Carnachan) welcomed jj j two delegates from a proposed Hine- \ moa Point team, who stated that it j was hoped to participate in the As- [ sociation's competitions, but asked j that they be granted a bye for the = ncxt Saturday. It was decided to ac- j i ccdo to the request and to assist the = ! committee in bringing its effiorts to jj I form the club to a satisfactory con- j j elusion. § } The Putaruru club advised that jj f it was hoped to field a team later in E I the season, and permission was grant- jj I ed them to enter at the commence- i j ment of the Wairua-a-Rangi Cup ser- E ! ies. E A request from the Whakatane E Ladies' Hockey Association for in- i formation with reference to affilia- E tion with the Rotorua Association \ was left in the hands of the secre- \ tary for the necessary action. E A full report from the Associa- \ tien's delegate on the New Zealand E Council was discussed, regret being i oxpressed that the remit to include i Tauranga, Whakatane, Matata and | Opotiki in the Rotorua Association's = boundary, had been defeated. It was I decided to discuss the matter further | On receipt of the Whakatane Assoc- 1 iation's decision in the matter of | affiliation. \ Appreciation was expressed of the | action of Messrs. W. Pollock, H. W. | Beale and C. A. Clarke, in making i donations toward the funds of the* = Asociation and the secretary was in- I structed to forward a letter of thanks § in each case. jj A iscussion which toolc place in con- jj nection with arrangements for the | Aard Cup tourney, on June 3, result- = ed in the appointment of Mrs. Green- | land, Misses K.
