-By Telegraph — Copyright).

WHANGAREI, Monday. Mr. Norman ("Wizard") Smith telephoned to the Press Association representative here this afternoon to say that an examination of his car had revealed that the only damage was the burning of the insulation on two ignition wires and the burning of two pieces of rubber hose. If hose of .the right size had been available yesterday, mechanics could have repaired the damage and restarted the engine.
