attempt by kingsford smith next spring TO FLY SOUTHERN CROSS

Rec. May 1, 5.0 p.m. SYDNEY, Sunday. The Sunday Sun announces that Air Commodore Kingsford Smith will fly from Sydney to New Zealand in October or November. Mr. J. M. Allan will he co-pilot and J. Stannage will be radio operator. The Southern Cross, which was extensively damaged during the Sydney Harbour bridge celebrations when landing at night, is being re-conditioned for the Tasman trip.
