TE AROHA, Thursday. A nofth-easterly gale, with heavy rain, set in after midnight, and continued throughout this morning. Fences and' trees were bloWn down. The corner of the verandah of a shop ixi Whitaker Street was broken off. The Waihou' Rivef and streams are in high flood. It is f eared that much low-lying lapd will he flo'oded, and stock are beirig shifted' fo higher ground.
