PREMIER SECURES URGENCY FOR REMAINING STAGE S LONG SITTING EXPECTED
WELLINGTON, Thursday. Important amendments have been introduced hy the Government into the National Expenditure Adjustment Bill, which is now in the Committe'e stages1 in the House of Repl'esentatives. The amendments affeot the proposals for the reduetion of rent and interest and are designed to remove anopialies whibh haVe bben hrought under the notice of the Gbfernment since the Bill Was firsit brought down; To-day the Prime Mirii'ster, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forhes, claimed urgency for the pasSage of the remaini'ng stages of the Bill and there will b'e a long sittirig. before the House finally assents to the measufe.
