WOMEN'S CLUB
READING CIRCLES MEET. The evening reading circle of the Rotorua Women's Club met at the home of Mrs. S. Wallis, Whakaue St., last Wedriesday- evening. The hostess received her * guests in the drawing room, which was charmingly decorated with pink cosmos and chrysanthemums. Barries' "Dear Brutus" was the play selected for the evening J reading and the parts were' very ably i taken by Mrs. A. C. Randerson, Mrs. !-S. Wallis, Mrs. W. Campbell, Mrs. 1 Ford, Miss H. Rohinson,' Miss M. j McKenzie, Miss E. Sharpe, Miss J. Hodgson, Miss J. Hamilton and Miss A.' McKenzie.. "The Barretts of Wimpole St." was the play chosen for the afternoon I circle, which was held at the home I of Miss Gwenneth La Trobe Hill, j ' I Hinemoa St., last Thursday afterf noon. Bowls of bronze and red chryi santhemums were atracivelty arrang- | ed in the drawing room. The cast | was a large on, hut very capahly handled by the following readers: — Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. N. M. Keane, Mrs. H. H. Davis, Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Campbell, Miss Mactier, Miss J. Pearce, Miss L. Dannefaerd, Miss G. La Trohe Hill and Miss J." Hodgson. Mrs. A. Brown, Mrs. L. G. Ashton and Mrs. E. La Trohe Hill were also present at the reading.
