WEDDING
PROCTOR— APPS. A very pretty wedding was solemrnsed in St. Luke's Church yesterday afternoon, when Miss Winnifred Apps was .niarried to Mr. Bertram" Proctort both pf. Rotorua. Arcjideacon P. y. Chatterton officiateS;"afiid' Miss Mactier" pi'ayed 'the wedding music. The church was Tbeautifully decoratdd "with pale pink 'and white chrysanthemums and cosmos against a background of ferns. ■ The bride, who given away by Mr. Guy Marriott, of Ngaruawahia, wore a beautiful gown of parchment georgette over which was worn a lace coatee. The bodice of the froek was tight-fitting, with a cowl effect at th'e neck, and the skirt fell in graceful scalloped panels to the ankles. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a dainty Juliet cap of white lace and a shower bouquet of white roses and carnations completed a | charming toilette. Miss Grace Brown, of Wellington, who attended the bride, was in a chic froek of ivory satin with a htting bodice and fully flared skirt. She wore a cherry felt hat and shoes to tone, and her bouquet consisted of red and white roses and maidenhair fern. Mr. James Proctor carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Spa Tearooms, which were attractively decorated for the occasion. Mrs. Apps, mother of the bride, received her guests wearing a brown flecked marocain suit with a brown and s orange Robin Hood hat to tone. She carried a bouquet in autumn shades. The guests present were: — Mr. and Mrs. G. Marriott (Ngaruawahia), Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Corr, Mr. and Mrs. W. Lowe, Mr. and Mrs. J. Talbert, Mr. and Mrs. D. Sheaf, Mr. and Mrs. A. Dixoti; Mr. and Mrs. J. Dixon, Mrs. L: Yates (Okoroire), Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Sparkes, Mr. and Mrs. Castleton, Mr. and Mrs. Harker, Miss M. Snell, Miss V. Snell, Miss R. Cannell, Miss R. Owens, Miss M. Castleton, Miss R. Castleton, Miss B. Dorsett, Miss M. Dorset, Mr. R. G. Marsh, and Mr. W. 1 Proctor (Putaruru). After the reception the happy couple left for a t-CTur of the North and South Islands. The bride's going away outfit was in shades of brown relieved with touches of orange.
