EIGHTY-ONE FACE ELECTORS IN ONE FRENCH ELECTORATE GENERAL ELECTION ON SUNDAY

Rec. April 27, 8.45 p.m. PARIS, Wednesday. French electors like plenty of candidates for the general election, but the 81 nominated for one constituency is believed to be a record. This number confronts the voters of Girons next Sunday, The average number of candidates per constituency in Paris and its suburbs is 13. Altogether there are 3,617 candidates for the 615 seats, compared with 3,735 in 1928.
