CAN ADI AN -NEW ZEALAND TRADE AGREEMENT COMPLETED MUTUAL CONCESSIONS

OTTAWA, Sunday. Canada and New Zealand are reported to have signed a trade agreement during the week-end. It is understood that the ofiicial announcement of the terms of the agreement is expected within the next 48 hours when certain details will he completed. In the meantime, there is no ofiicial confinnation. The agreement gives Canada, it is understood, eo'nsiderable concessions under the British preference to the exports of this country, largely manufactures. The butter duty into Canada from New Zealand is reported to be five cents per pound, similar to the duty 011 Australian butter. Imports of New Zealand wool are likely to be on the free list, under the British preference. The agreement is fully expected to be tabled in the House of Commons during the present session and Parliamentary approval given hefore the prorogation next mouth.
