-By Telegrsiph— -Copyright).

Rec. April 25, 6.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Monday. Anzac Day was commemorated in brilliant but cool weather. A spectacular march of 15,000 veterans through the streets took place past the cenotaph to the Domain, where the commemoration service was held. General Higgins, the Salvation Army leader, gave a stirring address and various chaplains partieipated. The remembrance began at 4.30 in the morning, that fateful hour on the troop ships 17 years ago, aff the shore of Gallipoli. Fifteen thousand people gathered in Martin Place and saw the Cenotaph wrcathed by the Gover-nor-General, Sir Isaac Isaacs, and others. Mr. Schmitt placed a wreath on behalf of the Government of New Zealand. In the subsequent march the New Zealand contingent had the pride of position immediately following the naval men. — aMjyMMn'a— — *
