BRITISH, LEGION PLACES WREATH ON PORTSMOUTH GRAVES

Rec. April 25, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Sunday. The Bishop of London, Dr. A. F. Winnington Ingram, Sir Granville Ryrie, Australian High Commissioner, and the French Generals Gouraud and Voruz, attended the 29th Division memorial service at Eltham. On the eve of Anzac Day at Portsmouth, the British Legionaries, headed by Admiral Farquhar, held a procession through the city. to the cemetery, where they placed wreaths on the graves of the Anzacs there, which the Portsmouth citizens maintain and keep flower-strewn all the year round.
