REPOROA, Tuesday. The annual meeting of householders held on Monday night was poorly attended only 13, including the headniaster, Mr. A. S. Edmonds, being present. Mr. L. J. Craig occupied the chair. The committee's report was very meagre; as, owing to shortage of funds no improvements have been effected. The school roll number is 57. There were 100 per cent. proficiency passes in Standard VI. Regarding the dental clinic, the report stated that the committee were of the opinion that Reporoa could not secure any advantage from it. The financial statement showed a credit of £16. It was decided to sign a petition praying that the Government secure the copyright of school text books, with a view of reducing the cost. The retiring chairman of the committee, Mr. Craig, did not offqr himself for re-election and he was aeIcorded a hearty vote of thanks, carried by acclamation, for his past services. Mr. Craig has been a member of the committee since its inception and its chairman for the past year. The new committee is Messrs. H. jCherry, B. W. Friis (sitting memJiers), W. Wiseman, J. O'Donnell and |R. W. Dunbar, and at a subsequent peeting of the newly elected compittee the last named was elected fhairman, and Mr. Cherry secretary Ind treasurer.
