ANOTHER ELECTION IF BILL TO ABOLISH OATH NOT PASSED LABOUR SUPPORT EXPECTED

-By Telegraph— Copyright.)

DUBLIN, Sunday. The Bill to remove the oath of allegiance from the (Irish Free State Constitutiop is being redrafted and will be introduced in the Dail this week. The Cosgrave party will move a reasoned amendment on the second reading a fortnight hence. Mr. de Valera had a conferenee with Mr. Norton, leader of the Labour group, and it is reliably stated that the Labour Party will vote solidly in favour of the Bill whieh, when it has passed the Dail, will be sent to the Senate, which will either pass, or suspend it for 18 months. In the event of suspension Mr. de Valera is determined to have another general election. If he is' then successful thq Bill will pass within 60 days. Meantime there is considerable anxiety in trade and industrial circles. A Dublin firm of biscuit makers announces that if the Free State becomes politically independent it will be obliged to dispense with half its workers because British import duties will preyent competing with British firms. Similarly the firm would be unable to export fo the Dominions and colonies.
