WHAKATANE, Thursday. The annual general meeting of the Whakatane Rugby Referees' Association was held last night. The balance sheet showed a credit balanee of £3 9s 9d. The election of officers was as follows: — President, Mr. A. Shaw; vice-president, Mr. C. Moffitt; seeretary and treasurer, Mr. R. Woolliams; delegate to Rugby Union, A. Shaw; delegate to Bay of Plenty Association, Mr. R. Woolliams; executive committee, Messrs. Knox, Riini, Peebles and officers ex-officio; examination committee, Messrs. G. Peebles and C. Moffitt; selectors, Messrs. A. Shaw and R. Woolliams. Poroporo Club At the annual meeting of the Poroporo Rugby Football Club the following officers were appointed: — Patron, Mr. W. E. Ward;. president, Mr. W. R. Boon; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Waaka, J. Waititi, Rangikotua, J. Watarawi, G. Kelly, E. Butterworth, Ngoungou, Romana Ratima, and J. Wano; secretary and treasurer, J. Waititi; selectors, J. Wano, Rangi and the club captain; delegates to the Whakatane Rugby Union, W. Waaka and G. Kelly; selectors to the junior club; J. Watarawi and the junior captain. The new scrum formation three-two-three was approved.
