The police' are corivin.ced that their man is hidirig in the scrub iri the Liverpool district, where the autrocous erimp was committed, and declared that he has no possihle chance of escaping. A .person answering his descriptiori visited a; dairy at Banks^ town . early in the morning and said,. "for gpodness sake give me a' drink." Dogs wer,e put on him and he dissappeared in the darkness. s . Large parties of pivilians are helping in the search.
