REFUSES TO SPEAK. • SYDNEY, Saturday. • The victim of razor-slashing in its : most terrible form, Harry Nunn (42), of Railway Terrace, Petersham, was admitted to the Lewisham Hospital in a s'erious condition last night with his face criss-crossed with five distinct slashes necessitating sixty stitches. With his face literally in ribhons 1 and his clothing soaked in blood, Nunn, who is a returned soldier with only one leg, presented a horrifying spectacle as he boarded a LeiehardtSummer Hill 'bus at Norton Street, Leiehardt. " 1 Blood poured from his face, and three women passengers swooned when they saw him, while the driver stared wide-eyed at his blood-soaked face. Nunn displayed amazing non-chal- [ ance, and offered to pay his fare anywhex*e. A second later he collapsed in his seat. Realising the urgency of the case, thp- driver rushed to his seat and speeded his 'bns to Lewisham Hospital. It was the worst case of razorslashing which doctors of the Lewisham Hospital have ever experienced. Two of Nunn's gashes extended right across the forehead, one from under the left eye through the ear to the neck, another across the left cheek, and another down the back of the head. There were also several minor slashes. He refused to say how he came by his terrible injuries beyond the fact that he had been slashed hy a razor somewhere in Leiehardt, Leiehardt police are inquiring.
