DENIAL OF RUMOUR ON BEHALF OF CIVIL SERVANTS '
"NO SUCH PROPOSAL"
In connection with the meetings being held by a conference of industrial organisations and some of the civil service organisations to protest against further salary cuts, statements have appeared in the press to the effect that this conference was proposing a one-day strike. For the information of puhlic servants and the general puhlic, it is stated by. a member of the local executive of the Public Service Associa" tion, that no such proposals have been made, and as far as the service is concerned, a ref erenduiri of ajl nioixih'ers wbuld have to be taken before any decision to strike could he.made.
