HAMILTON, Tuesday. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards to-day. Fat shep: There was an average yarding and prices were generally on a par with late rates. We sold extra prime maiden ewes and wethers at up to 16s ld; good fat weathers 12s to 14s; forward wethers, 11s 9d; fat ewes (good), 8s; inferior fat ewes, 5s 9d to 6s 6d; cull ewes, 3s 6d. Fat lambs met with a good demand at full late rates. Woolly prime lambs brought 15s; medium weight woolly lambs, 12s 6d; shorn fat lambs 10s 6d; forward lambs, 8s. Fat cattle : There was a large yarding and prices were firm at late rates. We sold medium weight fat bullocks at up to £5 15s; light fat steers, £4 17s to £5 5s; prime heifers up to £4 10s; fat cows, £2 15s to £3 15s; light fat cows, £2 5s to £2 12s 6d; fleshy cows, 26s to 27s 6d. Pigs: An extra large yarding of baconers and porkers came forward, with a small yarding of stores. We quote: Over-weight baconers, £1 18s to £2 11s 6d; prime baconers, £1 17s to £2 ls; medium baconers, £1 13s to £1 16s; light baconers, £1 9s 4d to £1 12s; heavy porkers, £1 6s to £1 9s; medium porkers, £1 to £1 4s; light porkers, 15s to 19s; large stores, 9s to 12s 6d; slips, 6s to 8s; weaners, 3s 6d to 5s. One pen of good Tamworth weaners brought 7s.
