"THE REVEILLE"

SUCCESSFUL RETURN j The special night of the "New Reveille," held last evening in the Majestic, once again proved a popular attraction, both old and new numbers being extremely well, received by an enthusiastic audience. Of the ballets "The Blue Ridge Mountain Home," "Sally in Our Alley," "Blue Room," and "Springtime in the Rocldes" proved the most popular. | The Oriental item, featuring Mr F. Thomas and an original ballet of juveniles was again a star attraction while Miss R. Steele, Miss R. Owens, and Mr. G. Daubney carried off their solo numbers extremely well. The Mirror ballet lost none of its original effectiveness in repetition. Miss Jean Pearce and Mr E. G. Guy again distinguised themselves in the sketches, "Dreams," and "The Story of Peeping Tom," the latter being the better liked. In this sketch Miss Pearce proved herself an accomplished story teller, . delivering her part with precision and the essential touch of prim severity. Mr. Guy, as her daring rogue of a husband was | also most successful, his performance being throughout convincing and finished. Mr. Krogh, as a garrulous old woman provided a great deal of amusement and ably assisted by Miss E. Sharpe, in "Rotorua in 1981," was a popular favourite.
