FOXTON, Thursday. R'obip Chrystall, aged 21 years, crashed jn his home-made monoplane at Manawaru Head's this afternoon. The 'pia ne had previously been successfully flown tq the beach on Monday, On the second attempt to-day, the 'plane had reached a height, of 250 feet when it nose-dived over the pilot station when banking and crashed on the for.esjipre. The pilot was extricafed by 3 fisherman, the wreckage forjunately not catching firft. Chrystall sustainqd .fractures of both legs ajid facial injuries, and was admitfed hpspital in a serious cpndition.
