LONDON, Wednesday. A retired business man, Mr. Kelly, aged 70, when playing golf at Maidenhead with a fifteen-year-old caddip, a widow's only son, was approaching the seventeenth green when a sudden brief thunderstorm broke. Both hurriedly took shelter under Kelly's umbrella, but both were killed instantaneously by lightning. Their badly burned, mutilated bod-, ies were found near the green withj their clothing ripped to shreds, and Kelly's beard singed off. Another player who was partnering Kelly, was struck hy the same lightning flash, He managed to stagger to the clubhouse in a dazed condition. He was burned on the arms and legs, but his injuries are not critical.
