WASHINGTON, Tues. The House of Representatives and its leaders, Democrat, Republican, and Independent alike, pledged thenir selves to-day to pass a non-partisan tax bill to hanance the Budget. Responding to a call by the Speaker, Mr: J. M, Garner, for those members to stand who would support such a policy, virtualiy the entire membership arbse, with vigorous outburst of applause. ' • The :n'ew i*ates brought in by the Ways and Means Committee call for aii increase in postage, humerous special taxes, levies on scales of stocks bdnds ahd!'real estate, to replace the £120, 000, 000 cut out of the Revenue Bill hy the defeat of the saies tax proposal. .
