AEROPLANE'S PASSENGERS RESCUED BY FISHING BOAT HAWK STRIKES PROPELLOR

Rec. Mar. 27, 5.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Sunday. A ten year old D.H.37 aeroplane dived into the sea off Crowdy Head, near Fort Macquarrie. The three occupants, Pilot Pat Hall and Messrs John Kingsford Smith and Harry Purvis were unhurt. They swam a mile toward the shore, when they were picked up by a fishing boat. The accident is ascribed to an eagle hawk striking the propellor.
