POSTERS REPRODUCE 1916 PROCLAMATION IN DUBLIN BANNED SOCIETIES ACTIVE

LONDON, Saturday. Posters reproducing the proclamation of Republic, 1916, and also calling upon the people of Ireland to unite ina supreme effort to break the connection with the Empire and establish the free sovereign of the Irish Republic, were affixed profusely throughout Dublin in preparation for the celebration of the anniversary of the Easter rebellion. The I.R.A., the Cumann Na Mban, the women's Republiean organisation, and kindred bodies, which the Cosgrave Administration banned, were J very active in the preparations throughout the Free State. There was a procession to Glasnevin Cemetery, where an oration was delivered over Republicans' graves. The leaders of the parade included George Gilmore, who was recently released after imprisonment under the Public Safety Act. Mary McSweeney heads a similar demonstration in Cork.
