PRICES AT FRANKTON j HAMILTON, Wednesday. The New. Zealand Loan apd Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their weekly stock sale held at Frankton Yards yesterday as follows: — Cattle: For an average entry of ox beef there was a fairly steady market at values showing a change on last week's quotations. Fat cows also were penned in the usual numbers and met with a firm demand, prices being on a par with recent quotations. Store cows changed hands with no change in prices. We quote — Average quality fat bullocks £5 8/to £5 17/6; lighter quality £4 14/to £5 5/-; medium fat cows £2 15/to £3 6/-; lighter quality fat cows £2 7/6 to £2 12/6; light fat cows £1 16/- to £2 5/-; killable £1 8/- to £1 14/-; stores 16/- to £1 6/-; vealers £1 4/- to £1 12/-; poorer quality veal-' ers 16/- to £1 3/-. Sheep: A fairly large yarding of fat ewes and wethers met with keen competition, the whole entry being sold. Late rates were fully maintained. An average number of fat lambs showed a firming tendency. We quote: Prime fat wethers 14/6 to 15/5; fat wethers 11/1 to 13/9; lighter wethers 9/6 to 10/9; prime fat ewes 8/6 to 9/3; fat ewes 7/- to 8/3; lighter quality ewes 6/- to 7/-; very prime lambs 17/9; prime lambs 11/6 to 12/9; fat lambs 10/- to 11/-; light quality 8/- to 10/-. Pigs: The yarding of fat pigs was almost as heavy as last week's but competition was not so keen and prices show a slight decline, especially for porkers. Values also were easier on a full yarding of stores and weaners. We quote: Heavy choppers £1 15/- to £2 14/-; heavy baconers £1 16/- to £2; medium baconers £1 13/to £1 15/-; Pght baconers and heavy porkers £1 6/- to £1 12/-; light porkers £1 1/- to £1 5/-; large stores 13/to 15/-; slips 8/- to 12/-; weaners 4/- to 6/-.
