CROQUET

MRS. RICHARDS WINS CH AMPION SHJIP. The Rotorua Croquet Club championship, which has for some time been in progress at the Rotorua Government grounds, terminated on Tuesday, when Mrs. W. L.' Richards defeated Mrs. H. C. Worthington by 24 points to 2 in their third contest. This last game, as the former two, proved very interesting, both players being well in form and playing their long and short shots equally well. Mrs. Worthington, who won one of the matches, played a fine game, and only the superior flnesse of her opponent and her happy knack of seeing and taking every opportunity ended what proved a very evenly contested and interesting game.
