“POST'S” COMPETITION
SEVERAL WELL CHOSEN ENTRIES SUBMITTED THIS WEEK. ONLY CAKES CONSIDERED,. Our recipe competition has again attracted many entries from our lady readers, some of them so nearly equal in merit that the judge's task is becoming increasingly difficult. This week's prize has heen awarded to Mrs. S. E. Phipps, of Toka Street, for her recipe for prune cake. So many and so varied have the recipes become that the "Post" has decided to divide the entries into sections, so that each recipe may be judged on its own merits in its own class. This week cake recipes only have been considered. Pickling recipes will be judged next week and any further entries in this class received. Each week' the type of recipe for the following week will be announced in this column. A few cake' recipes are published below, selected flvom those sent in; others will appear in the "Post's" Shopping Page.
