Rec. Mar. 14, 7.0 m. BERLIN, Sunday. The first progress result in the Preidential election flattered Herr Hitjr, Nazi leader, who was given 321 otes against Marshal Hindenburg's [2 by the 345 electors in a tiny villag'e i Franconia, which is a Hitlerite h-onghold, while the, oceupants of the avarian village of Tramfzell, where iarshal Hindenburg spends his yearjr holiday, also favoured Hitler by 28 votes to 157. Subsequent returns, however, show jiat Marshal Hindenburg is polling irongly in the towns, the Socialists jllowing, en masse, their leaders' orers to vote for him. Herr Hitler has been more suceessil in some country districts. The exrown Prince voted in Potsdam reortedly for Herr Hitler, whom Prince ugust, who is a Nazi, also supported. The first progress returns were as illows. —
Marshal Hindenburg has thus far n absolute majority. Of the 11,440,000 votes couhted by J o'clock Hindenburg gained 5,525,10. Hitler 3,493,000, Thaelmann 1,_ 15,000, Duesterberg 836,000, Winter 2,000. 'It is expected that Hindenburg ill have an absolute majority.
