WOMEN'S CLUB
READING CIRCLE MEETS. The reading circle of the Rotorua Women' s Club held their first gathering of the new season at Mrs. N. M. Keane's home in Devon Street on Tuesday evening. The hostess received her guests in the drawing room, j which was attractively decorated with i autumn tinted marigolds and dahlias. I Old and new members of the circle wete welcomed and during the evening John Galsworthy's play, "The Skin Game," was read, the parts being taken by Mrs. A. C. Randerson, Mrs. H. H. Davis, Mrs. Rowley, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. D. M Ford, Mrs. Walsh, Miss M. Mackenzie, Miss J. Hodgson, Miss E. Sharp, Miss Hamilton, Miss J. Pearce, Miss Hitchen, Miss Maetier and Miss I G.reen, who capably handled the different characterisations. Others present were: Mrs. Hodgson, Mrs. Campbell', Mrs. L. G. Ashton, Mrs. Stewart, Miss G. La Trobe Hill and Miss E. Rohinson. A dainty supper was served after the reading. Owing to the steady growth of the circle it was decided to form an evening circle, the first meeting of which to he held at Mrs. A. C. Randerson's home.
