BURGLARY CHARGES
MAORIS ADMIT BREAKING AND ENTERING AT TE WHAITI. Two young Maoris who appeared in the Rotorua Magistrate's Court y sterday morning before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., admitted separate charges of breaking and entering the store of Adam Maclarn at Te Whaiti on ih. night of February 12 and stealing a quant:ty of tobacco, cigarettes, mutches and cigarette papers. The porce stated that a considerable quantity of goods stolen from the store had not yet been accounted for, but the two accused denied any complicity in the larger thefts. The two accused were Charle° Marsh and Ahutina Waitohi. Waitohi was arrested at Te Whaiti or Tuesday by Senior-Sergt. Carroll and Constable Brown, of Rotorua, and Marsh was arrested in Rotorua bj Constable Kelly. , Outhning the charges, the SeniorSergt. said that on the night of Fe'oruary 12 Mr. Maclarn's store at Tc Whaiti had been entered and a qu ntity of goods stolen.
