LADIES' GUILD
MRS E. ,C. HETHERIN GTON FAREWELLED AT DEVON STREET The members of the Devon , Street Ladies' Guild met in the Devon Street Hall on Monday afternoon to say farewell to Mrs E. C. Hetherington who is shortly leaving for England. Mrs Hetherington, during her stay in Rotorua, was President of the Guild. Mrs Mansfield, on behalf of those present expressed to Mrs Hetherington the members' appreeiation of all she had dobie to assist them in their work. Mrs Hetherington was then asked to accept a silver bread fork, with a typical greenstone handle. Mrs W. A. Carter, on behalf of the staff and pupils of the D;evon Street Sunday School, also spoke, expressing deep gratitude for Mrs Hetherington's interest in the work of the school. In reply, Mr. Hetherington thank- ' ed the members of the Guild for their fine spirit of co-operation and stated that her stay in Rotorua had been extremely happy. Archdeacon and Mrs F. W. Chatterton were also present and in a few words the Archdeacon conveyed to Mr and Mrs Hetherington the best wishes of all present.
