SCHOOL CRICKET
TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR TEAMS ARRIVE TO PLAY ROTORUA HIGH Two cricket teams, representing Takapuna Grammar School, arrived in Rotorua by yesterday's express to play the annual matches with the Rotorua High School. The matches will be played to-day at the High School grounds from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the visitors leaving by the express tomorrow/ morning. The High School first XI. is a strong batting side this year, and as the bowling is also well up to standard, the team hopes to avenge it former defeats. During their stay, the visiting teams will be billeted by parents of pupils at the High School. The teams are as follows: — Takapuna: — lst XI.: Sale (captain) , Haden, Foreman, Warren, Hoverd, Emeny, Adams, Blanchfield, Swain Stevenson, Robinson, Schmidt, (twelfth man). Second XI.: Francis (captain), Freakes, Latta, Simmonds, Matthews, Armstrong, Chalmers, Everton, Howden, Maclntosh, Tasker (twelfth man) . High School: — First XI.: N. L. Hinton (captain), G. R. Hampson, G. C. K. Beale, F. N. Keane, T. Berghan, R. B. Dawson, C. K. Matthews, W. E. Higgins, R. S. Brooker, P. J. Dowling, J. S. Alexander, H. A. Steeie (twelfth man). Second XI.: R. JDevin (captain), S. E. Burgham, G. N. Brooker, L. F. Brooker, R. Ashby, H. Egdell, H. M. Skinner, E. C. Budd, D. J. Ewert, B. F. Berghan, C. J. Frost, D. M. McNab (twelfth man) .
