Rec. Feb. 2l;~5,5 p.m. LONDON, Saturday, At 3 p.m. to-day, the Free State election figures were : — Government," 50; Republicans, 62; Independents, 15; Labour, 9. Those elected include Mr. J. M. O'Sullivan; Minister of Education, and Mr. Finian Lyneh, Minister of Lands ond Fisheries. Among the defeated candidates is Mr. T. J. O'Donnell, the Labour Leader. There are 23 results outstanding, but there is no prospect of a Government recovery. The "Daily Herald's" Dublin correspondent says that the Labour Party, though its numbers are small, will hold the balance of power, but will remain independent of both the big parties. The Republicans expect to be able to form a Government. It now seems certain that Mr. Eamonn de Valera will be the head of the largest party, though it is still a question whether he will be independent of all other groups. Mr. de Valera said: "The programme we intend to introduce is substantially Labour; therefore, we expect the sup port of the Labour Party. We adhere to our intention to abolish the oath of allegiance." The Fianna Fail expects to gain five seats in Sligo and Leitrim, where the polling has been postponed till March 2.
