N.S.W. ATTITUDE Rec. Feb. 19, 10.22 p.m. CANBERRA, Friday. Explaining the Finance Agreement Enforcement Bill in the House of Representatives, Mr. J. G. Latham, the Attorney-General,' reviewed the occasion when Mr. Lang had defaulted. This Bill aimed at enforcing obligations already existing when the finance agreement between the State Premiers were drafted. This sort of thing from New South Wales was unforeseen, and that State adopted a deliberate policy of making agreements where benefits could be obtained, afld breaking them wheri it suited. Mr. Latham spoke of the seriousness of default. The Minister was subjected to interruption by the members of the Beasley group. The debate was adjourned until Wednesday^
