CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS TO COMMENCE ON FEBRUARY 26 TEAM FOR AUCKLAND The executive committee of the Rotorua Amateur Athletic and Cyeliiig club at a meeting held on Wednesday evening, decided to hold a series of fortnightly club championship meetings, the first of which will be held at the High School grounds on Friday, February 26, at 6 p.m, Competitors will be divided into two divisions by the club handicappers, Messrs. G. H. Weir (track and field), and F. A. Hayward (Cycling), who will also arrange the programme of events for each meeting. fIt has also been suggested that should any promising form be shown by competitors, an endeavour he made to send a team of four members to th^ ^.uckland provincial championships on.Mareh 5. The encouraging form of the ladies chosen to train for selection for the relay team to travel to Auckland augers well for their success, and with the possible addition of four male members, the club should make a good showing. The club championship meetings will be in no way mbmb mb mbmb j will in no way effect the present series of evening sports meetings, the second of which is to be held at the High School grounds to-night "at 6 p.m., and the next on March 4.
