The Government meteoroiogist issued the following weather report and forecast last night: — General Situation: Yesterday's depression has now . passed eastward, but pressure is still rather low from New Zealand across the North Tasman Sea to Queensland. Forecast: Winds variable with light to moderate northerlies prevailing over the North Island. Southerlies over the South Island, and gradually becoming ge'neral, later freshening somewhat.
