EXPORT TO BELLIGERENTS

LONDON, Thursday. In the House of Commons Major D. J. Colville (Parliamentary Secretary for Overseas Trade) informed Mr. Tom Williams (Labour, Don Valley) that licenses had been granted recently for the export of armaments to Japan. Mr. P. A. Harris (Liberal, Bethrial Green) : Is it not undesirable to continue these exports, which are e'ncouraging war? Mr. J. Maxton (Labour, Bridgeton) : Will the Chinese have equal facilities for purchasing armaments? Major Colville : Licenses hitherto have not been withheld in either case.
