PROPRIETORS' ASSOCIATION HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING REPRESENTATIVES CONFER

AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The annual conference of newspaper proprietors was continued in Auckland to-day. This morning a preliminary general meeting of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association was held, and it was followed this afternoon with meetings of representatives of the metropolitan and large provincial newspapers, under the chairmanship of Mr. C. W. Earle, of Wellington, and Mr. W. C. Weston, of New Plymouth, respectively. Yesterday the delegates had a busy day with committee meetings, as well as a meeting of the directors of the United Press Association under the chairmanship of Mr. A. M. Burns, of Christchurch, and a meeting of the Newspapers' Proprietors Association, which was presided over by Mr. Earle. In the evening there was a meeting of the general committee of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association.
