SOCIAL AFTERNOON
VISITORS ENTERTA1NED BY MEMBERS OF ROTORUA CROQUET CLUB. The visiting members of the South Auckland Croquet Association competing in the annual tournament now in progress at the Government Gardens, were the guests of the members of the Rotorua Croquet Club at ,a delightful social afternoon held at the Croquet Pavilion on Tuesday afternoon. In the absence of the president of the South Auckland Association, Mrs. Fraser, Mrs. Bartletg vice-president, took the opportunity of thanlcing the members of the Rotorua Croquet Club for their co-operation and general assistanee during the tournament. The president of the Rotorua Club, Mrs. Bleneowe, was presented with a bouquej of carnations and sweet peas and a nionetary donation to the club. Mrs. Dyson, secretary of the Rotorua Croquet Club, also received a similar gift in appreciation of her assistanee. Among those present were Mrs. Mrs. Bartlett, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Kibblewhite, Mrs. Gane, Mrs. Pearce, Mrs. Tucker, Mrs. Meikle, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Black, Mrs. Bleneowe, Mrs. Dyson, Mrs. McDowell, Mrs. Pakes, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Worthington, Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Thomsen, Mrs. Halkett, Mrs. Herd, Mrs. Lloyd, Mrs. Hesketh, Mrs. Cohnie, Mrs. Young, Mrs. Isemonger, Mrs. Pearse, and Miss Bartlett.
