REMAINDER OF GOVERNMENT ADVANCE TO BE MADE AVAILABLE AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The announcement that the remaining £38,000 of the advance of £75,000, recently made available for hospitals by the Government, would be distributed shortly, was made by the Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, at a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board. The Minister advised the board that the allocation would he as follows : — Auckland Hospital Board, £12,000; Wellington, £7,500; North

Canterbury, £5,000; Palmerston North, £3,000; Nelson and Waikato, £2,000; Wallaee and Fiords, £1,500; Buller, £1,400; Cook, £1,200; Waihi, Patea, Opotiki and Westland, £500 each; Tauranga £300; and Bay of Plenty, £100.
