RIOT IN GAOL
RINGLEADERS FLOGGED TORONTO, Tuesday. Rioting in the dining room of a provincial reformatory at Guelph, in which 300 convicts participated, was quelled when the convicts were surrounded by guards with rifles. Dishes were hurled and furniture broken, creating a shambles. Seven of the ringleaders were given ten strokes of the lash.
