CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLES AND , B GRADE HANDICAP DECIDED M.RS. BOLLARD WINS B SINGLES The South Auckland Croquet Association continued its annual croquet tournament in the Government Grounds yesterday when, under per?ect weather and playing conditions ill events were advanced to an interjsting* stage. The championshpi doubles resulted in a section tie between Mrs. Kibblesvhite and Mrs. Hawlten, and Mrs Lowe and Mrs. Burrett. In the section tie final Mrs. Richards and Mrs. Worthington defeated Mrs. Kibblewhite and Mrs. Hawken, 26 — 23. The finalists in the B grade handisap singles event'were Mrs. Goodall (Matamata), and Mrs. Parata (Rotorua). Mrs. Parata was defeated hy 26 points to 19. The B grade championship singles fcitle was won hy Mrs. Bolland (Taumarunui), who defeated Mrs. Goodall (Matamata), 14 — 26, 26 — 17. 26 — 15. Semi-finalists in this event were Mrs, Parata and Mrs. Margison. The final of the champhionship doubles will he played in the Government Grounds this morning between Richards and Mrs. Worthington, of Rotorua, and Mrs. Pearce and Mrs. Tucker, of the Cambridge Domain. Club. The number of competitors in the singles was reduced to three, and the A' grade championship singles were also advanced a further stage.
