WORK-OUTS AT HAMILTON ' AND AUCKLAND FOR ROTORUA GENERAL FORM HAMILTON, Thursday. There was some interesting track work at Te Rapa yesterday morning by horses with engagements at the Rotorua meeting at the week-end. The plough track which was in use was in good order. Homelight ( A. Gilmer) , and Illuminagh (P. M. Brady) , who will b© the respective riders in the High-weight at Rotorua on Saturday, worked over seven furlongs, running home the last three !in 38s. Reclaimed (Moore), also went with the pair, finishing about three lengths away. King Ford (McGuire), ran three furlongs in 37s. The King Lupin gelding, who is to be raced at Rotorua, will be ridden by J. Cammick on Saturday. King Ford is in good order, but an easy track would improve his prospects. Senorita (Hika), beat Ruling Chief (McMahon) , over three furlongs in 39s. The former, who will be ridden by F. T. Bently in the two yearold race at Rotorua on Saturday, has pace, but lack of. racing will be against her. Tradesman Runs Half-mile Tradesman (McMahon), was not required to do his best to run half a mile in 50 2-5s. The Raceful — Lady Birdwood gelding is to race in the open sprint,'the Tourist Handicap, on the first day at Rotorua. Paganelli (A. Gilmer), was doing his work well to run half-a-mile in 49 l-5s, The Lord Quex gelding, who is to contest the Cup at Rotorua on Saturday, is in good order.

Aga. Khan (Day), got to the end of half a mile in 50 2-5s. The Chief Ruler — Lugano gelding is down to have his next start in the Trial Stakes at the Waikato meeting. Phenomenon (Gilmer), ran three furlongs in 38s. The chestnut halfsister to Luminary, who is trained by T. E. Wilson, is yet to have a race. She shows a useful turn of speed. Holly Holm (Day), and Yalmarie (Gilmer), placed half a mile behind in 52 1-5 s. The former had the best of matters early, but Valmarie was closing on him at the finish. Both are engaged at Rotorua. Flying Prince will be the only member of A. Tinker's team for racing at Rotorua. The Flying King horse, who has been showing the effects of the hard ground, has not had any fast work of recent days. Other horses worked this morning included L'Allegro, Arcade, Roseric, Rippling Waters and Cargen. N. Syme has been engaged to ride Wako King in the High-weight Handicap at Rotorua on Saturday.
