Rec. Feb. 7, 6.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Sunday. At the Leichardt Stadmm last r.ight, there was an uproarious scene when the wrestler, Tom Lurich, opposed Walter Browing. The fun began iri the sixth round v/hen Lurich tore the referee's shirt r ff and threw it among the spectators. The referee retaliated and threw Lurich, who was spread-eagled in tho press seats. Lurich later fell for four from the referee, who planted a. straight left to his jaw. The crowd rocked with laughter. The contest was awarded to Lurich by one fall to nil. Meeske was then introduced as Lurich's next opponent. The latter rbfused the customary hand-shake, whereupon Meeske punched hini on the nose, which was the elimax of a wild night. Lurich had to beat a liasty rotreat to the dressing- room to avoid the crowd.
