TOTALLY OPPOSED TO COMMONWEALTH'S POLICY AGAINST PUBLIC SENTIMENT
! By Telegraph — Copyright.)
Rec. Feb. 2, 11 p.m. , MELBOURNE, Tuesday. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A.Lyons, has declared that Mr. Lang's action in seeking the suspension of interest payments overseas is totally opposed to the Commonwealth's policy, as announced at the recent election, which shows how entirely contrary any such appeal is to public sentiment in Australia. The matter is being officially considered by the Loan Couneil to-night.
