SYDNEY, Tuesday. Several New South Wales country towns suffered heavily when swept : by severe storms. In the Narromine district the damage is estimated at £40,000. Two stores and at least 30 houses were destroyed. The electric light system at Narromine was completely disorganised, the telephone and telegraph services put out of action, and th© water supply cut off. The Roman Catholic Church was destroyed, while the Methodist Church, three hotels, the public schools and the Town Hall are seriously damaged. Many persons are homeless.
