Rec. Feh. 2, 7.10 p.m. DELHI, Tuesday. Rebellious Moslems are terrorising . the south-west of Kashmir, and State troops are rushing to the towns of Kotli and Poonch in an endeavour to prevent a massacre of several hundred Hindu villagers who have been [ driven there from their homes and have sought shelter in the towns, , which are now being besieged by 1000 armed insurgents. ! The arrival of British and Indian troops has already had a good affect in Mirpur and the surrounding dis- [ tricts, which are being administered temporarily by British officers. At the request of the Maharajah of Kashmir, the Punjab Government is [ taking strong measures to prevent the * disaffection crossing the border to British India, and the village headmen , have been ordered to watch for agitators, and also to care for refugees ' from Kashmir.
