Sir, — Adversity is bringing home to many the need for the strictest economy and puzzled mother has asked for a solution to a problem which is exercising the rninds of many parents at the present time. She says her child will not be admitted to the Rotorua Junior High School unless uniformed to school regulations. I would advise her and others in a like position to test out this statement and if, as she asserts, this is correct (children being refused admission in junior classes) to bring the matter before the Minister of Education through the member for the district, Mr. C. H. Clinkard, and have the legality of compulsory uniform in junior classes, where compulsory attendance is demanded by the State, thoroughly investigated. — I am, etc.,
