FARM TRAINING FOR SONS OF NEW ZEALAND SOLDIERS TRUSTEES' PROPOSAL

WELLINGTON, Thursd'ay. A l'etter from the Flock House 'authorities at Palmerston -North,- slat'ing that they hoped that the sons-of .NeW Zealand -soldiers'- would be admitted to- -Flock House for training in farming, Was read at a me'eting of the War Relief Association at Wellington tO-day. ' * ■ • A conference of patriotic associations is to be held at ihe Flock House statlon on- February 24, and the War Relief ; Association was invited-to send representatives, - - - The trustees have decided, said the letter from Flock House,- that the draft of boys, which arrived in October, should he the last draft from overseas for the present, and this decision left the Way clear for an early entry of NeW Zealand boys to Flock House provided- ways and means could be devised to arrange this. Flock House Is a War Memorial and it is desired that this feature should he retained, consequently the trustees hope the extension to New Zealand boys may he for the sons of ex-New Zealand Expeditionary Force men. The trustees are empowered to expend the money only on dependents of seamen, but they are wil'Iing to ex--tend the benefits of the farm and station land, the stock, buildings, equipment, staff and organisation to the sohs of soldfers, provided their maintenance can be arranged for.
