Mellon, Secretary of the Tfeasury, inforftied Senator Walsh of Massuchussets, that the Treasury opposes the suggestiori for 1,000,000,000 dollars bond issue against which 1,000,000,000 dollars in notes could be issued. Mr. Mellon declared that the country faced no currency shortage.
